“The bedding and towels were lovely and clean, couldn't fault. The shower tray left a lot to be desired, along with the shower mat and windowsill. There was no way of opening/closing the windows as they were too high. The same with the curtains. A long bamboo rod attached to the top could help with opening/closing? Staff? Hardley saw a soul in the 4 days I was there. The breakfast was sufficient for what I needed.”

“The hotel is not inspiring on the outside but is well situated for trains, buses and travel to the Isle of Wight. It has the feel of a run-down hotel which is in the process of being up-graded by the present owners. My room had comfortable beds and a newly fitted bathroom but the windows could only be opened a small way as they were blocked by a fire escape staircase immediately outside.
