I stayed in the 3‑bedroom Skyview Sub Penthouse with my family (five of us, including my elderly parents). I had planned this as a surprise for them and hoped for a comfortable final holiday together. The views from our apartment were truly stunning, and the space itself was clean with comfortable beds.
I’ve stayed over 20 different hotels and apartments across the Gold Coast over the years, and unfortunately this stay did not feel as comfortable or supported as my previous experiences. There were no staff at reception after 2pm on Saturday, the whole of Sunday, and none during check out on Monday either, which made it difficult to resolve even basic issues. We were provided inadequate supplies for a group of five—such as toilet paper, tea, and coffee—and although I requested more, I received no response due to the unattended reception. These are small items, costing only a few dollars, but they make a meaningful difference to guest comfort. Despite paying a significant amount for two nights, several basic amenities were missing, including tissues/tissue box, clothes pegs and clothes hangers. Guests should be aware they will need to bring their own.
An apartment with beautiful views is wonderful, but it becomes truly memorable when paired with responsive customer service and attention to basic guest needs. I hope these concerns are taken on board, as the potential for an exceptional stay is certainly there.
