This was a one night stay on our long road trip and we prefer the unique mom & pop experience over the mega hotels. Rustic Lodge is a good name - it is a bit rustic with a wavy floor, but the room was nicely decoratated. The staff was very nice, the room was large and the bed comfy. Could have been a bit cleaner (hair left in the bathtub) but over-all we got a good nights sleep.

I like the way the rooms were set up for two queen beds. They were in their separate little areas and the beds were very comfortable. Our room was fairly small, so the air conditioning worked very well keeping it cool. We found a great place to park with our truck and boat. The only downside to our stay was you could hear the people above us quite a bit.

The best thing about this motel was the staff. They were super nice and accommodating, being willing to pick me up from and take me to the Amtrak station. Even other “better” hotels did not provide that service. The room was old—but acceptable. It was clean, and the shower was okay. The breakfast was middle of the road—packaged pastries and yogurt. I’d stay there again.

Rather old and tired property. Small, clean room. Room door lock tricky to operate with old-style key. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Old fashioned aircon unit. Basic breakfast. OK for 1 night but wouldn't particularly recommend - needs modernisation.

The room was clean and met our needs for a place to sleep fro the night. During checkout, there was a note at the front desk indicating that the staff member was elsewhere on the property. There wasn't a bill under the door or clear instructions on where to leave the room key, so I had to look around before finding the key drop box on the side of the building. It also appeared to be unlocked, which made me question the security a bit. Breakfast was included, but the selection was fairly limited, consisting mainly of toast and cereal. Overall, it was a fine place for a quick overnight stay. If you're simply looking for a clean, affordable place to sleep, it does the job. Just keep in mind that there aren't many lodging options in Glasgow, so this may still be a reasonable choice depending on your needs.

The room wasn't very clean, could see hand prints on the walls, the carpet was still dirty and don't get me started on the curtains (they are awful and gap enough that anyone who really wants to could see in) the bed was comfortable enough. We then show up for breakfast the first morning of our stay and the breakfast sandwiches had run out in the refrigerator so we had to ask the staff if they had more, so they come and brought out 4 sandwiches and there were 2 of us so that only left other customers with 2, why not put out enough or check you stash more often during busy time of morning. The next morning we come for breakfast we're told that they ran out and don't plan on putting more out. So we got to go without. Then comes time to pay and we had booked through Expedia but checked to pay at property so now we get charged more than what Expedia said we would, and all just because we used Expedia instead of directly booking through them. If that's how they plan on operating maybe Expedia should disclose this on their site. Definitely won't be sending people your way anytime soon nor will we be planning another stay here. The saying "you get what you pay for" almost applies here but I feel that's even too extreme for this place.

Staff was very friendly. Parking was easy and there was plenty of space. The room was clean and when we had an issue in our first room which we didn’t think was a big enough deal to move, they insisted which was nice because I didn’t want them to feel like I was complaining but just wanted to make them aware of the situation and the HAPPILY put us in another room to make things right! They were great and for being in such a small town I didn’t expect too much out of the breakfast but they provided enough to get some sustenance in you before hitting the road! 10/10 stay

The toilet was dirty with dried urine around the floor mount. There was no tissue, just toilet paper. The air conditioner was very loud. No counter space in the bathroom to even put a toothbrush. The continental breakfast advertised had coffee but no juice. A couple of packaged donuts, some other packaged pastries, cold cereal. When we went to the breakfast area it was almost bare and no staff available to replenish anything. One gentleman was trying to make a waffle but had difficulty getting the waffle to cook. It was evident there was not much concern about customer service. The bed was very comfortable and we did have clean linens.

Pros: Room fit our needs perfectly with 1 queen bed & 2 twins. Hotel was close to our destination & room had a coffee pot! Room was simple yet clean with nice linens. Cons: Oddly, room d/n have a peephole or phone. I know everyone has a cell phone but you’d better keep it charged as you’ll need that to call the F/D or in the event of an emergency. One switch operates all the overhead lighting. No way of turning off lighting in one area at a time. Perhaps a floor lamp or small nightstand with a lamp would be helpful near the queen bed. No light in big walk in closet. Please… add more curtain panels to the rod! That would be amazing in keeping the light/sun out of the room. They were stretched to capacity but just weren’t big enough to do the job. I understand the limitations of continental breakfast but this seems to be stocked at the start & never restocked throughout service. The 2 times out of 6 days that I did try going, I couldn’t even get coffee & was told there wouldn’t be anymore made. Luckily, there was that pot in the room. And maybe this won’t bother anyone else but I was easily frustrated to find the lobby constantly locked when I had a question or needed something. Limited staff means the door is locked most of the day, with a sign put up with a phone# to call, while staff is out on property cleaning rooms & doing laundry. I know my Cons seem longer than my Pros but all in all, the hotel met our needs! Most of my cons are suggestions rather than complaints!
