We loved our room at The Native Hotel. It was neat, comfortable and very well equipped, with a fully fitted kitchen that was such a nice touch for a longer stay. I also really enjoyed the Glasgow-inspired details in the decor, especially the books, it gave the room a lovely sense of place. A little heads-up: the room didn’t have a Smart TV, so accessing Netflix was a bit of a bummer in this day and age. If that’s important to you, perhaps travel with an HDMI cable. Also, you don’t immediately see the hotel when you first arrive, and there are a few stairs to navigate, so be mindful if you’re travelling with heavy luggage. That said, the ambience more than makes up for it. The room was so cosy and inviting that I genuinely found it difficult to leave and go out to explore Glasgow! I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.

The room was clean and well stocked. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The location is good for walking to the train station, the bus station and to shops. However, there are many stairs to enter into the building. The staff assisted with the luggage on check-in and check out. The noise in the alley late at night and all through the night was extreme. I guess we were unlucky to get one of the rooms that the windows faced the alley. As the air conditioning was not working, our window was open so it was really loud from outside. The staff did supply a fan but it was too warm when the windows were closed. We were told that there were parts coming to fix the air conditioning. The remote control was missing from the bedroom TV. Also, we could not get hot water from the tap, only room temperature.

Central location great for exploring the city, we had one of the rooms on the 7th floor with a balcony and wonderful views of the city which was a treat. So nice to start the day with a coffee made in the well supplied kitchen. Immaculate clean bathroom and super comfortable bed.
