We loved the location. Extremely large room for European standards. Very clean. Check in was so easy, and they delivered bags to our room. We stayed 2 nights, and day-tripped to Brugge. Convenient to train station, and tram into downtown Gent. Would recommend.

He had a great stay. The property and rooms are clean. The breakfast was very good. We wanted to be close to the train station so the location was perfect for us. The highlight was the staff! They are very helpful and pleasant, wonderful to deal with!

We had a fabulous stay at the Carlton Hotel. The staff and the owner were friendly, easy going and very helpful. The room was spacious and the breakfasts were a delight. We'd have no hesitation going back to the Carlton if the opportunity arose.

This is now my favourite Hotel in Ghent! It has much better rates than many other Hotels and by far the biggest rooms! It's a very elegant and beautiful place and the carpets in the room are very clean. The woman who checked me in was very friendly and during my stay Karen & Melissa were very helpful and made me feel at home!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Carlton. Hotel is steps from the train station which was very convenient. Staff was incredibly friendly, and breakfast was great! We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was clean, the staff was very helpful, and the room was surprisingly large and spacious for three people. The location is also convenient if you’re arriving by train, with the train station nearby and a tram stop close to the hotel that makes it easy to get to the city center. There are two things I would note, however. First, there are limited restaurant options within easy walking distance of the hotel. More importantly, we specifically chose this hotel because we were traveling with an elderly person and needed reliable elevator access. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of service for our entire stay. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but if you are traveling with someone who has mobility challenges or specifically need dependable elevator access, I would recommend confirming the elevator is working before booking.
