Even without a pool, our stay this past weekend was absolutely wonderful. It started with sitting outside at the courtyard/bar area and listening to music. The boutique hotel's decor is exceptional, the restaurant's food was enjoyed by my party of eight, and the room was most comfortable. I would definitely return.

Great stay. Great central location & free onsite parking is always appreciated. Outside bar was a plus. Restaurant menu was a bit restricted for our tastes. The bar closing at a scheduled 9pm was disappointing, but not a disaster. Lots of places in Georgetown seem to close around 830-9 pm.

I stay at the George every week, and it never disappoints. The staff has become my 2nd family during the week. They are wonderful. Beautifully designed lobby level. The rooms are not high design like the lower level, but they are very attractive and well appointed. Outdoor bar is really fun, well designed and has a great staff. The Independent restaurant on site is also very good and offers an elevated dining experience while the outside bar, Eliza's, offers appetizers, burgers, good sides etc. Their food is very good as well. You should definitely give the George a try!
