We loved how quiet it was and how we could hear the sound of the river right from our small private deck. Bathrooms could use a few updates but all worked well and was clean.

Decent place to stay if in Idaho Springs. We like staying here when we are in Idaho Springs. We like the river running next to the hotel. Like to watch the rafters go by from the balcony.

Late night check-in was very helpful for delayed flight travelers flying in to DEN. Property is dates but looks very well maintained! Reception guy, "West" was very accommodating. We just stayed for a quick overnight but I could see the place as a basecamp location when visiting nearby town especially its proximity to Guanella Pass, Peak-to-Peak Hwy and Downtown Denver

The room was very clean but shabby, loose hanging wallpaper, holes in the walls from anchor bolts no maid service 2 night stay the beds weren’t made or towels refreshed. To be honest I wanted the running water spring behind the room with the patio appreciated easy access to town. will stay there again but if your requirements are more luxury seek shelter elsewhere.

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I would say that the rooms need a refresh and some of the wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the lamps were in pretty bad shape. We did enjoy falling asleep with the balcony door open listening to the literal babbling river 10 feet from the hotel. We stayed there specifically to have that experience and we really enjoyed that. A little room refresh and these would be amazing!

My wife and I from Chicago, IL stayed for 3 nights here and had wonderful memories. The staff especially the owner was so kind and helpful for visitors introducing good spots for touring. It was surrounded by mountains with creek right behind this motel and there were a couple of tables to relax outside of the room to enjoy real nature. Argo gold mill and tunnel, and the cable car for the top of mountain were only 5 to 10 minutes from this motel on foot. I definitely come here again to enjoy different season’s scenery.
