A small beautiful and peaceful hotel steps away from downtown Galena. It captures the history of the area well and with modern day amenities. We will definitely stay here again.

Hands down one of the most beautiful stays! Loved the character of the 1800 building, attention to detail, wonderful breakfast, outdoor eating and relaxing atmosphere in several locations, kind and helpful staff, private parking, ease of check in, a text in the evening asking if I needed anything, wonderful bedding, and a comfort of home vs feeling like you were in a builder grade hotel. Will be back! Thank you Hotel Galena

We loved our stay at Hotel Galena, it's so close to all the downtown attractions and shops but far enough away to not deal with the traffic. The hotel itself was fantastic, our room had the upstairs loft with fireplace and claw tub. Plenty of room for everyone, very clean. Staff was friendly, helpful and very approachable. We will be back, if you'll have us! Loved it!!

This hotel was AMAZING!! It was so beautifully done, and the owner was extremely friendly. The space was just stunning … but very comfortable. It was also the perfect location, as the shops were a short walk away. I will stay there every time we visit!

we stayed in room 3 one of the top floor rooms. The view on to route 20 is very nice with three windows. Unusually good. The room was clean and nice. Bed very comfortable. Cute room. Negatives: The shower was poor. Needs a new shower head. The breakfast room is way too small to accommodate any more than about 6 people. I think they gave up the "great room", like they have at Farmers, to make space for more guest rooms. The only entrance is up the back stairs which is no problem in nice weather but could be crazy if bad weather. Close proximity to town is the main thing here. Parking is limited but we did not have any problem and the hotel was fully booked. Overall if you want to stay near the action in town without driving and finding parking its great. You also have to like the charm of old buildings as well, which we do.

Hotel Galena exceeded our expectations. The hotel was conveniently located within easy walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants. The property, located in an old historic building, was clean and attractive and the rooms were renovated, modern and quiet while still maintaining the historic charm of the original building. The owner, Nate was friendly and helpful, offering tips on local sites to visit and restaurants to try. We felt welcomed and would definitely stay at Hotel Galena on a future visit to the area.
