We had a wonderful experience at Chestnut Mountain Resort in Galena! The location is beautiful, with amazing views of the Mississippi River and surrounding hills. The resort has a relaxing atmosphere, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy.

The stay was enjoyable! The view was beautiful! Food and service was great! The ac unit needed a filter change or cleaning, it didnt run well, tv remote was broken and the refrigerator was not working well. Otherwise, I will be back with my family!

The rooms were very clean and spacious. The food was ok, and the drinks were average. If it hadn't been so hot, we would have gone into town for dinner and breakfast. But our servers were excellent and very attentive. It would have been great if the rooms had USB ports to charge battery packs.

This was a nice spot for a quick trip to Galena. We needed a hotel that included an EV charger on site which was offered by this hotel. It was also nice to have an onsite restaurant and bar. The activities were a little expensive but a fun bonus none the less. The views are outstanding!

We were just off season so the attractions were not open, but we had a great time hiking the ski slopes. It was May so they were just steep grassy hills but great cardio! The landscape was beautiful! The restaurant on site was excellent and we had the same waitress each time we visited. She was wonderful!
