This hotel is an oasis. The external neighborhood is your basic off-the-freeway strip mall area, which means it is a convenient location for places you might want to go. But once you are inside, you enter a peaceful, almost resort-style environment. The staff was very attentive to our requests - which included putting a 2nd chair in the room. Note that you should request a refrigerator if you need one. There are no microwaves in the room, but there is one available for use in the common area. Very nice fitness area, and the pool is lovely when it is open.

Sweet place with lovely people at the front desk. Check in is a little weird in that they insist on taking your luggage and pointing out each amenity—we figure it’s because there’s no elevator so carrying your own suitcases might be a liability. Rooms are well appointed and clean, with charming MCM furniture and feel.

As others have mentioned, I found the need to sit and have a warm towel and a beverage while waiting to check in (which I'd already done online) to be a bit odd. I understand the manager (owner?) wants guests to feel they've been welcomed as he walks them to their room and explains the mini-store etc, but we just wanted to get to our room and change and get out to our event. The hotel was very clean. Our toilet was not seated properly and we brought it to their attention and were notified later that it was scheduled for maintenance and they apologized. The room was spotless and shower was lovely. We would like to have enjoyed the fire pit area at night but when we returned to the hotel at 9:15 we couldn't find an employee to light it. Overall it was a good stay and we would choose to stay there again.

Room was clean and fresh, staff was great- most of the time someone would come out and greet us as we walked through. Real friendly. The entrance was not real easy to get to, a little tricky getting in/out of the parking lot.

Clean inviting lobby, genuinely friendly & helpful staff, spacious sleeping room, really comfy bed. Small vanity & toilet area. Nice minibar offered, but pricey. The room had a distinct odor of old, stale cigarette smoke. Noticed it in the hallway too. It’s like a room that’s been smoked in for years and it just lingers. They’ve tried to cover it with spray, but it comes back. Also, found several different types of hair in the shower & vanity area, and debris on the floor in the corner of bathroom & under the bed. Not a thorough cleaning job. There was no refrigerator in the room.

I am from FW but wanted some space from family. I tried other hotels but this was the only one with a room for 2 nights. Pricey yes but def worth it. Only open a few months old, clean, nice/friendly staff. The walls seem a Little thin and there is no microwave or iron in the room and I like convenience but I was fine w/o it. Free coffee, free water. I didn’t get to utilize the spa but maybe next time. Location is good. Lots of places to shop and eat near

The Amaya was a wonderful surprise. Wasn't sure what to expect from a non-brand property but we will definitely stay here again. Staff welcomed me at my car and took the luggage to my room and refused a gratuity. While checking in, we were provided with a hot moist face towel to refresh with as well as a warm cider. I can't say enough about the personal service. The room was very clean and the functionality was well thought out. Overall, a great experience.
