“The area around the hotel car park is a little scruffy but don't let it put you off. The welcome from Reception was warm and it was nice to be shown to my room. The room was well appointed but, once again, lacked attention to detail! One of the light bulbs over the mirror wasn't working and, initially, I couldn't get the tv to work. “Have stayed a number of times over about 10 years or so - is consistently good. Staff are always friendly and helpful, food is excellent and very good local beer is available. The rooms are small but do what is needed and have always been clean. This is a proper traditional country pub and we need more of them!”

“Another lovely stay at the Annesley Hotel. Parking is easy, the hotel is very clean, staff are pleasant, breakfast was excellent, good quality food and very reasonable prices. Just a ten minute stroll into town. We could not fault it!”

“Considering that it was a Best Western and that we've stayed in Best Westerns in different countries, this was the worst. It wasn't cheap, but nevertheless the stay did not include breakfast. It needed renovations. The shower did not work well, very low pressure and the water was either cold or hot. Wi fi was also pretty slow.”

“Fantastic hotel really with loads of character set in lovely grounds running down to the river. Small personal homely feel not a bland corporate Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Probably one of the best spa facilities that I haves ever visited the beer spar was a first for me and greatly enjoyed thanks to Macy for the great back and neck massage. Evening meal food was fantastic.”

“We stayed for an event at UEA and the location was perfect for this. Setting was beautiful in a small village with a river running through -great for an evening stroll. Our bedroom was very very close to the road which becomes a commuter cut through in the mornings. This did lead to some unwelcome traffic noise from around 530am. ”

“We stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldn’t fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. ”
