The owner Raffaele was very rude and not accommodating at all. Also, we had to walk up about 80 steps with all our luggage when we arrived. The room was nice and beds were comfortable but just disappointed with the service.

We loved our room, which was the suite. The ceiling/walls were series of brick arches, making for a very unique setting. The feel was both old-world and modern, with a shower/toilet near the middle of the room. I was impressed by the glass toilet enclosure and the open shower, which were smartly designed and very functional. The air conditioner cooled the room very quickly, which was a big deal during one of the worst heat waves Europe had seen. The facility was beautifully decorated and the breakfast was excellent, with attentive staff. The location was ideal, just two short blocks from the Duomo and in the center of the historic district attractions - all within easy walking distance. One caution, however - the rooms are on the fourth floor and there is no elevator, so this may pose an issue for those with limited mobility. Otherwise, this was a thoroughly delightful place to stay.

In a great location in the middle of Florence. Fab Taverna next door which was delicious. There are about 3 flights of steps to get up the guesthouse and no lift. This didn’t put us off but something to note if you have mobility issues.

My wife and I booked the suite. I would again in a heartbeat. As Florence was not our favorite city in Italy during our 2 weeks, this room made our 5 nights there incredible. Relaxing, clean, quiet, and just unique and very comfortable. We spent time just hanging out in our room with a drink or a book, out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Breakfast was great as well and close to our room. Very clean facilities. You do have to be comfortable climbing stairs as there is no lift, but this was no trouble for us and did not bother us one bit. The location as well was phenomenal based on attractions and sights to see with tons of restaurants around. This room does not disappoint, and I am so glad I booked it.

Everything about this property was pleasing. The room was clean, as advertised, and with plenty of amenities, to include easy to use A/C. Check in was easy, having breakfast at the hotel was a huge help, and it was a sufficient breakfast with protein options. Check in is only from 2-6pm, so that could possibly cause problems for others. We loved how close to the duomo we were. Walking out the front door you were in the heart of everything. We would definitely come back. Thanks!

my most favorite hotel room on this trip! steps from the Duomo, but in the room you'd never know - it was quiet and serene. The room itself was huge and gorgeous, with brick ceiling that had curved eaves. a soaking tub on a stone platform was a special treat. beware - it is up 3 floors with no elevator, but was worth it to us
