The way from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station was easy (about 10 minute walk), and it’s so close to Duomo. Yet it was very quiet since the hotel is one alley off from it. We could have an early start to sightsee everything right by the hotel to beat the crowd, and it was worth a lot :)

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Villani! Lucia and team were wonderful and welcoming, breakfast was delicious with a lot of options, and the rooftop terrace was really the cherry on top. The only bummers were that the one night we wanted to enjoy the terrace, it was closed early, and that our bed was actually two twins pushed together, not a truly queen/king sized bed. This made sleeping a bit uncomfortable, but overall we enjoyed our stay!

Loved our stay here! Went with my husband and we stayed 4 nights. The woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful. The hotel was a bit old but the location made up for it 100%. We were steps away from the duomo. The rooftop was small but admiring the view of the city and of the majestic duomo was everything to us. Overall, 10/10! Will be coming back!

We had a wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. Our room was very clean and was taken care of every day. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the city, with a beautiful view of the church, and everything is within easy reach. Everything about our stay was wonderful, and we truly felt at home. A big thank you to our lovely hosts for their hospitality and kindness. We hope to have the opportunity to come back again in the future ,we would return with great pleasure! Thank you once again for making our stay so special! ❤️

Eloni at the desk , Lucia in breakfast area and the housekeeper who took care of my room were amazing and welcoming. Eloni helped with my charger problem and gave me recommendations for places to go. Lucia took great care of me at breakfast , she missed her calling and would make an amazing life coach !

The staff were super nice, friendly, and very helpful, and the hotel's location was excellent. However, the property is in need of serious maintenance and a thorough cleaning. The rooms themselves were acceptable, but the overall condition of the hotel could be much better. I would still recommend staying here, but with some reservations.

First of all, view is simply amazing. You will get one of Giotto’s bell tower, Palazzo Vecchio, or Duomo view. But you can get all of those when you climb one floor up to the roof terrace. The staff are very professional yet friendly. It’s a small hotel that makes you feel like you are visiting a friend’s house in Firenze. (Thank you Lucia and Eloy!!) Mind you that this is an old building and shower can be small with low water pressure, so think about it if these things matter to you. Otherwise, you are in for a treat.

Positives: clean room, very friendly and helpful reception staff. Ideal central location, beautiful roof terrace overlooking the Cathedral! Negatives: bar was not open, terrace shuts at 9:25, we were enjoying the views, sunset with our own drinks, it would have been nicer to open up later. Breakfast could have a little more choice, but was adequate. Overall: I would stay here again.
