We usually stay at generic corporate hotels, but it was cool to try out Hotel Donaldson. It's an older property that has been refurbished to be a boutique hotel. We liked the original artwork in the rooms (each room has a featured artist), the wine and cheese at 5pm, and the pastries and coffee in the morning. The rooftop bar was closed when we were there -- it would have been nice to have access to the roof to see the view. The location is great, right downtown and within walking of many bars and restaurants.

The staff were all incredibly courteous and kind. They brought a microwave to our room when I got sick at the restaurant and needed to reheat food. Breakfast pastries get delivered to the room and the turn down service went above and beyond. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for somewhere clean, safe and very comfortable!

The rooms were very spacious and nicely decorated, great location with great views of the downtown area. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, loved the coffee and pastries that were brought to your room, if you wanted them and also their turn down service with truffles and soft music. The wine, cheese and crackers were at great touch also during their happy hour. Definitely will stay here again!!!

Beds and linens were comfy, breakfast pastries could have been fresher (and coffee hotter, staff was very nice. There’s a lot of nice dining options downtown but if you’re a light sleeper, you’ll need earplugs with all of the emergency responders driving by.
