“Cozy room and a great breakfast from Linda in the morning! Short drive or bus ride to downtown Portland. Appreciate her flexibility with check-in (make sure to check your Expedia messages more often than I did) and meeting one of the resident cats.”

“We stayed there for two nights at this charming inn. Very cute and the only hiccup was the air conditioning. It was like a meat locker and no way to adjust the temperature.
The morning breakfast was simple but very adequate

“The Innkeeper is super great and personable. We had a delightful visit during our time in Freeport at the Candlebay Inn. The room was nicely setup, with all tips and tricks for the property shared by the Keeper. The shower's water pressure leaves some to be desired but given the authentic nature of the property, it's understandable.
Highly recommend the nearby Tuscan bistro, and checking out the LL Bean store.
The breakfast is also lovely in the morning to not have to worry about it. The town...

“This is a classic Maine B&B! Wonderful owners and delicious breakfast with always two options! Fresh homemade cookies at the end of the day! Rooms were very nice with nice sized private bathroom. A wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Why do the chain hotel when you can have this experience!”
