“Clean room, easy access to restaurant, bar and pool. Sauna out of service, steam room good. Pool good size for doing lengths. 20 min walk into town but only a chippy and mini morrisons. Good self-service breakfast. Would stay again”

“Room basic but very clean, beds really comfy, you get free parking and it's approx 10 min walk along the high street to the beach. Water in bathroom is on some type of water flow restrictor so don't expect a power shower however, the water was hot and bathroom very clean. Person who checked us in wasn't the most welcoming however, the person on reception the next morning was helpful. No Air Con in our room (205) however, there was a fan in the room and you can open the windows. Didn't use...

“Large clean room with king size bed and seating area with TV, tea making facilities with fridge and large en suite. The room overlooks farmland. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked and the hosts were full of interesting information about the surrounding area.”

“We only stayed for 1 night but we were so impressed with how comfy, clean and spacious the lodge was and also the location of the hotel such a beautiful setting with the castle very close by really picturesque. Hotel staff were brilliant very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast which was included in the price was delicious and the eggs Benedict were perfect with a nice runny yolk. We’ll definitely stay again as Orford is such a beautiful quaint place to visit.”

“The ground floor room was fine, with easy access to the parking area. The shower room was very clean and modern; the bedding was immaculate on a comfortable bed; it was a shame the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. We would have liked a small fridge and a second opening window as the weather was exceedingly hot, but we appreciated the air conditioning. “Great as always… Lovely staff, easy parking and check in. Restaurants within walking area but their restaurant/bar is perfect… 30second walk from the hotel. Quiet and safe as you have to tap the card twice at the front and then room. I really like this hotel and will be staying many more times over the summer. Thank you”

“Very noisy hotel. Surrounded by the motorway and a road and with a horrible acoustics isolation. The wifi does not work properly. On the positive side, the staff is very professional and nice and the breakfast is very complete. ”

“Room was lovely & spacious, lots of coffee/tea choices in the room. My favourite was the deep bath tub & actual bath size towels. Food was amazing & everyone else eating said the same. Breakfast was continental served earlier, with a choice of cooked breakfast a bit later. This was a last minute decision to stay overnight in this area on our trip & what a great decision it was.”
