This property was an unexpected gem! The hotel is charming and impressive situated high on a hill. The flowering shrubs were spectacular. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed quite comfortable. The staff delivered great service and genuine kindness. The food, especially the breakfast, was filling and quite tasty. I highly recommend this historic hotel.

When we arrived, shower had no soap, just shampoo and conditioner. We received soap the next day. Gym equipment is old and rusty. Weights were spread throughout the floor and not on the rack. I know that was done by hotel residents recently and if may be difficult for staff to follow up with that. It just seemed like something that should be checked on frequently. Also, hotel residents can fall or trip on dumbbells laying on floor. Despite all that, hotel was comfortable and safe. Will come back again.

Beautiful hotel and room. During one of the coldest days in Upstate NY this hotel was cozy. Delicious full breakfast was included and the staff were overall warm and friendly. We had some time to spare prior to our next event and we were invited to stay in a sitting area and enjoy some tea or coffee. It was a lovely time.
