“Loved everything location the lovely cottage itself everything you need the only slight downside is it’s pot luck with parking but I would recommend if you are there for 3 days or more a weekly parking pass for £15 is the go for the car park just down the road by the canal 😀”

“The attention to detail is so lovely. Everyone was really helpful and we enjoyed the food, the surroundings and the spa. A really beautiful getaway. The female members of staff had to put up with a pretty misogynistic guest while we were there (which we witnessed at breakfast) and they kept their cool and handled his rudeness with grace and patience. A lot of friendly professionals work here and you can see they put love into their work! ”

“This is a lovely quaint, quiet country inn/accomodation, which is on its way to be something special. The welcome, cust service and food were top notch. The owners have just recently taken over and you can see how wonderful this place is going to be, with everything being made future proof. “The Grassington Lodge is truly minimalist. A very small room, two bath towels, and one hand towel. For the third of three nights they added a bath mat and a bar of soap. The only staff ever present was the cleaning lady and her assistant. She was kind and helpful but certainly not enough to welcome and assist guests. ”

This is beautiful Bolton Abbey in Wharfedale at the foot of the Yorkshire Dales. The now ruined abbey was founded in 1154 but dissolved by Henry VIII in 1539. Dare to cross the sixty stepping stones to cross the river but beware of the Strid with its dangerous eddies of water.
