“I don’t know what has happened to this hotel but i would avoid it all costs Very shabby and run down , our room had a really unpleasant smell , the door plates as you enter the hotel were filthy overall very disappointed - and definitely overpriced”

I was also a little sceptical when I saw Belle Vue’s exceptionally high rating, but after staying there, I completely understand it. The guest house really was exceptional. The décor was stylish, the bed and furniture were very comfortable, and the location and grounds were lovely. “really friendly and accommodating staff. our only issue with our stay was that owing to very hot weather we needed to sleep with the window open to allow cool air to come in off the river. this meant being woken up super early by traffic”
