Lovely ground floor room , with great amenities. Fantastic welcome from Allessio on the reception desk, he couldn’t have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. My only concern was there was no rubber mat in the shower and I found the floor very slippery.

The Salisbury was a beautifully restored old home in a quiet neighborhood of Edinburgh. We loved our room and the high ceilings, which overlooked the garden. Parking was a little tight, but understandable for the area. One of the highlights was meeting the desk clerk Alessio who greeted us warmly and answered all of our questions about the hotel and area. Just far enough outside downtown to be quiet, but close enough to catch a bus or take a 20 minute walk to the Royal Mile. Breakfast was hearty with many options to get the day going. Would highly recommend!

A bit tired, but refurbishment in progress. A delightful period property. The shower was a later addition to our room and a bit small. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is very good, away from the centre but only a few stops on the frequent buses - never waited more than five minutes!

When we arived the staff where great helped with our bags, took us to our room showed us how to work everything,room was realy clean shower great tea coffee, on the next day they got us our taxi pluss you have a key card to get in at night, parking majic had there own, so no complains from us had a lovely time,

Parking is limited it’s first come first served. Not sure about breakfast as we didn’t have breakfast there. You do have shampoo conditioner body wash included and you also get toothbrushes and toothpaste incase you have forgotten. Staff was lovely and friendly especially Aliseo. About 30 mins walk into the town center lovely place to stay where you won’t need to drive.

The Salisbury was fine for my short stay. The location suited me perfectly (primary reason for choosing it). It’s a lovely old pair of Georgian buildings and the communal areas seemed bright and well maintained. On arrival at just after 6pm, knowing reception would be closing, I collected the necessaries for self check-in as expected but my key card didn’t work. Luckily the reception staff were still there and prepared a new one. The room was a on the smaller side but just big enough and pleasant, although a little tired (Apparently the hotel is undergoing refurbishment so I guess my room has yet to be tackled). It had the basics that I needed. The shower room was small but functional, the hot water/pressure a little temperamental. There was nowhere to hang a towel. The toiletries were in holders which were broken so quite difficult to use. The window didn’t open, although it did rattle in the wind at night. The blind was also broken although possible to roll it up and down by hand and rest it on top of the bottom sash of the window, and the TV was incredibly high up near the lofty ceiling! Also, as I hadn’t opted for breakfast, the nearby cafe alternative mentioned in the hotels info wasn’t open (obviously not the hotel’s fault but mildly frustrating). In all a decent enough stay but hopefully next time a refurbished room and bathroom would be good.
