The hotel had just opened for stay, everything was very new, clean and functional. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is amazing, walking distance to the Old Town, Waverley Station and the bus stop to and from the airport (Waverley Bridge). We will use Point A Hotel at St. Andrew square if we are in Edinburgh again. Definitely recommend!

The location was great but the curtains were too small to darken the rooms, website states free breakfast but it is not free, very noisy from inside and outside, the bathroom layout was awful. Poorly designed.

Staff and location excellent. Booked an accessible room but plumbing problems could not be dealt with promptly, and we were offered an alternative but Windowless Room for the first night. While brand new and recently opened, I would advise avoiding the cramped windowless room. We were accommodated the next night in an Accessible Room as booked and without a request for same, provided a fair refund. Continental Breakfast was ample and worthwhile. While the property needs to work out the kinks, [HVAC and plumbing] the staff was extremely helpful, courteous and attentive and certainly tried their best. We would stay again.

Fantastic location, just a block off Princes Street by the Scott Monument! The staff are phenomenal, so friendly and incredibly helpful. A huge thank you to James, Evie, and Jamie, who were always on hand to chat and assist with anything we needed. While the hotel experienced a few growing pains with the HVAC (one of our rooms ran a bit too cold, while the one next door was a little warm), it didn't take away from a great stay. Although compact, the rooms have everything you need, including handy bedside power sockets and USB charging points, plus a sparkling clean shower with consistently hot water. The continental breakfast is a great way to kick-start your morning, featuring good coffee, fruit juice, flaky pastries, cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cheeses, and cold meats. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Edinburgh.

The room was clean and the location central. For the cost, I expected to have toiletries like lotion and conditioner provided. Even soap was not adequately topped up. There is no closet and you have to hang your clothes on the wall. No iron in the room. You have to go to a special room to iron which is inconvenient. The breakfast selection was also lacking. The best thing about the hotel is its location. Maybe that is what drives the price up.

No security lock inside room. Breakfast was basic. They tell you only clean room every 4 days. It was 5 for me. They do not check towels or garbage either. As a solo female traveler -prefer room close to elevators-not down the end of a hall -or worse yet -at the end of the maze/ fire doors. Outside -no ramp to help with luggage.

Ligging heel goed Kamer basic met geen opbergruimte Ontbijt beneden alle peil.Het ergste was dat er niets van brood was,enkel paar soorten koffiekoeken.Moeten zoeken naar propere koffietasjes en glazen.Ook heel basic en het weinige dat er was,was veelal op. Te weinig ruimte om te zitten.
