at the heart of the Fringe

convenient location for events connected to the Fringe & plenty places nearby for eating at . Quiet hotel ,even though it is central.

Very dull dark interior.lighting is very depressing. Rooms are beefing brightened up. The lighting and paint is the problem. We did not want to spend any time in the rooms. Bar area was nice enough. Staff were very nice and accommodating. The pictures on the website don’t show the dark was and the sad lighting.

All staff were very friendly. We arrived early and there was no issue with storage of our bags until our room was ready. They even moved the bags to our room for us. All necessary amenities in room including fridge, kettle, iron, safe, towel warmer, etc. Easy walk to most areas of interest.

Nice enough for my needs (somewhere to sleep and shower and close to where I was workin). The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean and the shower was nice. Location is also very convenient.

Our stay was great! We had a late night drink in the bar one evening, and breakfast and coffee one morning. The room was the perfect size for myself and my husband and our two suitcases. The bathroom was a great size, and the area was very quiet, safe and very walkable to all popular sites. I wish the room had a/c, even in a Scottish September it was a bit stuffy and warm.

Ran out of hot water, no one in the lobby to greet us when we arrived, weird photos of actors in all of the rooms, towel heating rack didn’t work, room got too hot at night (we couldn’t find how to adjust the radiator until right before we left), and the lobby area was really crowded at night when it was converted into overflow space for the bar. Overall cozy atmosphere at the bar, but we didn’t get to enjoy it because it was full
