“We stayed here only one night, but it was a very pleasant stay. Couple of things though. According to the menu outside, and in the room, lunch can be served at the hotel or in the room. However, when we asked if we could have lunch (after we arrived around 14.00 hours) we were told we could not, there was no lunch service (I checked the times on the menu, it should still have been possible). We were then directed to a nearby commercial center with restaurants, most of which seemed to be closed...

“Le Mas Champenois was a little oasis in the middle of Chalons. The owners were lovely and the house was spotless. The pool was a wonderful spot to start the day or unwind. Breakfast was perfect. Intimate and quite spot walkable to town about 30 minutes and easy drive. We parked on the street for 3 night with no problems.”

“Chambre dégueulasse avec odeur de remonter d’égouts, personnel peu chaleureux qui ne parle même pas français ! L’état de la façade résume à lui même l’intérieur des chambres… délavé. A fuir de toute urgence, service d’hygiène déplorable, présence éventuelle de nuisibles.”

“We have been going to Valarie's for years. Fornusnit is an ideal spot on the way to the channel tunnel, close to champagne houses and she does a meal so that there's no need to drive to find something after the long drive to get there. Always an excellent place to stay”
