Beautiful home. Inn keeper was super kind. Breakfast was amazing. Room was amazing. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Spacious bathroom. Definitely recommend.
Absolutely beautiful renovated 1872 home. Very comfortable accommodations and the breakfast was phenomenal. AMANDA is the best and most accommodating innkeeper.
We truly enjoyed our stay in this historical bed and breakfast. Loved all the attention to detail and furnishings from a time long ago. The information, tour of properties and breakfast were far beyond our expectations. If we are ever back in this area would not hesitate a return visit.

Amanda was great very helpful with any & everything. The breakfast was amazing! The property was well kept. Dean was amazing too, he gave great suggestion on Bills Seafood.
The house was beautiful, and the decor was a perfect fit.
The back porch was a delightful place to relax. Andrew was a gracious host, and his breakfast was a culinary experience. He even gave us a ride to my reunion party as it was raining. Don't lose him he made our stay unforgettable, if possible, we will return again.
Step back in time at this lovely B & B. Stately trees shade the spacious grounds. Delicious breakfasts prepared by the innkeeper will probably include eggs from the chickens on site. Beautiful refreshing pool. BEWARE. Only one of the five rooms offers a private bath. Read the room description carefully before you book. Otherwise the property offers a wonderful experience!
Andrew, the innkeeper, was so kind and knowledgeable about the Bevin History and how he attended to guests needs. He met me at arrival and helped me with my bags. Then, we sat a bit and enjoyed a homemade cookie and conversation. The Chauncey, where I stayed, was very comfortable, wonderfully decorated. Enjoyed the next morning’s breakfast, after all, Andrew mentioned he went to culinary school, and it was quite obvious by the taste!!! Delicious. Thank you for a beautiful stay.
Amanda was lovely: very helpful and she made such delicious breakfasts every morning fresh. The house is charming. It feels like it’s in the middle of the quaintest tiny villages but Hartford is under 30 minutes away and New Haven was an easy 45 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The breakfast was amazing. Not even close to the bog standard ‘Continental Breakfast’ of other places. Amanda created a gourmet experience by anyone’s standards. All fresh, made from scratch including made from scratch granola and homemade yogurt. She also showed great pride and conscientiousness in her care of The Bevin House.
The room was fantastic and the building itself absolutely historically amazing. It reflects a time in our past when those of wealth and influence put their good fortunes to proper use in their homes.
We couldn’t have asked for more other than more time to stay.
