The hotel was situated in a great location. It was away enough from the downtown area that you could walk, and didnt fight all the traffic, buses, and trains. The only issue was parking was difficult.

Our stay at The Alex was lovely. The hotel itself, including the room, is very well maintained and is very clean. The staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly. I docked one star because we did find the room quite warm, even when the air conditioning was supposedly on, and the pillows in the bed were extremely thin. Didn’t have the most restful sleep for those reasons, but that could just be me. Other than that, the hotel was lovely.

We enjoyed our stay at the Alex immensely. The Alex features appealing, comfortable and spotless rooms; a fantastic and diverse breakfast buffet; and a super-convenient location close by Trinity College, St Stephen's Green, and Merrion Square. But the standout feature among many was the Alex' staff. When we arrived at the hotel after an overnight flight from North America, we were warmly greeted by Simon who made every effort to situate us in a room as soon as possible. Throughout our stay, Simon was a cheerful, helpful ambassador for the hotel and Dublin in general. Many thanks, Simon!
