After being out and about all day getting to our room at 11:00pm to check in for the night to have to be back up at 5:00 to be able to get on the boat to go fishing I went to the desk to check in. The man at the desk says I changed your room to a queen and sofa bed… um no sir I

NEVER STAY HERE!!! When we were waiting in the “lobby” (basically a broom closet) to get checked in, there were bugs (maybe fleas?) crawling up our legs, it smelled and the walls were streaked with some unknown but smelly substance. As we were walking out, the front desk person came out and said he didn’t have any rooms for the night. I told him that I reserved, he said they had no rooms, meaning they overbooked anyways. We went to the Red Roof in up the street and had a wonderful stay, supposedly I’m going to get a full refund but I’m not holding my breath, my fault for not looking at the reviews (similar terrible experiences).

Avoid this place at all costs. Sleep in the car if you must. The front desk representative was not helpful. I did not even check into the property. He was asking me to pay again, even though I had a receipt that showed I pre-paid...and he was not asking me to pay "incidentals". He was asking for the same rate that was previously debited from my account. He claimed "it says pay at property" but would not show me where it said that. The property was dark, dirty and appeared unkept. Also, seemed like some sketchy behavior by other patrons, but I don't want to assume or generalize. Overall, there was a reason it was so cheap. If you can help it, save yourself the struggle...book early and don't book here.

Air conditioner didn't work in August!!!

The room was clean but that didn't make up for an air conditioner that didn't work on a hot humid night! The manager said all he could do for my wife & I was offer us another room with single bed; when we had paid for a room with 2 queen beds. I declined the offer and we literally sweated out the night; no sleep! That's the last time we ever stay there!!! Also there was no ice bucket liner, no tissues, only 1 small bar of soap & only half a roll of toilet paper for 2 people!

Nice suprise

I was not sure what to expect since the room was so affordable. My first impression was...meh...as the "office' consists of a tight entry was with a glass divider between you and the clerk. But the gentleman who met me at the glass had elegant, lovely manners and got me checked in very quickly. The room was spotless, newly renovated, smelled nice, spacious, far exceeded all of my expectations. The next morning I checked out very well rested and went on my way. This was a fantastic deal, and I highly recommend!

Exceeded Expectations

We arrived at 11 p.m. and we're welcomed by the staff. The room was neat and clean. We were able to park right outside of the door. Area was quiet. Bed was firm but comfortable. Would have liked more pillows. At first the room was a bit stuffy, but the AC , once turned on, cured that fast. This is precisely the kind of small business that should be supported. They delivered great value at a reasonable price. It ain't the Ritz but was great for sleeping, showering and dressing.

Value for the money

I'd stayed here before. While not luxurious, it is a clean, modest, reasonably priced facility. Definitely value for the money. If the price remains as it is, I will definitely stay here again.

Relax Inn Dover - avoid at all costs

Booked this hotel because of good reviews for a new-ish property. DON'T BE FOOLED - not clean, bugs in room. Management was unwilling to address concerns. Not a place to stay if health or well being is important to you.
