I honestly cannot rate this hotel high enough, the rooms were absolutely spotless, the breakfasts were amazing and the staff. Well every single member of staff were pleasant, polite, courteous and helpful. The aircon was heaven sent in the heatwave, I had amazing sleep every night yet my brother in law in a budget hotel was tormented with heat. I will without a doubt stay there again and wont even contemplate looking at other hotels.

Best hotel on the Promenade. Elegant, dark wood, beautiful artwork. Clean rooms. Nice restaurant and bar. Claire, Tim & Tony run a top notch hotel. Love it. ❤️ Jack is an ace in the bar and restaurant 👌. Only slight 'complaint' I can imagine is, They should offer better pillows or different types, goose or foam would've been better than current pillows. Would highly recommend.

The stay was excellent. Room was great and complete with a small office room that gave me chance to work efficiently. That was a great suprise and very welcome. Food was excellent as well making the stay a complete success and very pleasant.

Lovely Douglas hotel.

Lovely hotel at the quieter end of Douglas promenade. We had a fantastic sea view room. The service was excellent and the food very good. Will definitely stay again.

Old style hotel. No atmosphere. The lift is extremely limited for space very narrow and you would struggle if you were a larger person. No restaurant open in our first night, Tuesday. Did offer bar snacks but not what I wanted or expected. Room far too hot, poor view. TV too small for the room. Bed was comfortable

Birthday Celebration Break

We had perfect 3 day stay with attention to every detail by the staff. The very traditional hotel had many original features and I would be hard pressed to find any criticisms. My wife and I were both equally happy with our stay.

From the front desk through the rest of the property, everyone was exceptional. I’m very grateful for the experience I had there. Tim and Claire at the front desk were great and the staff serving drink and food were very accommodating and kind. I would highly recommend staying there again and probably will do it again myself, given the opportunity.

Great stay.

Great hotel with friendly staff. On street parking is avaiable but limited to 16 hrs in any 24 hrs. Having said that I didn't see a single parking attendant enforcing it all week.

A very well appointed hotel on the Seafront of Douglas. Staff freindly and restaurant was very good. French style menu. The hotel has kept its early years character whilst implementing modern touches to compliment the decor. Room was spacious and again well appointed with all you need, tea/coffee making, flat screen tv, fridge with water snd plenty sockets/ USB charge points. Highly recommend.

The room was clean, however the sink was badly cracked and needed replacing. The furnishings in the room were fit for purpose, albeit very dated. I also found the room to be quite noisy - being able to hear showers running, toilets flushing etc from nearby rooms, early morning and during the night. I had a room at the back of the hotel and only had a view of other buildings. However, the rooms at the front including the sitting area, bar and restaurant had great views over the bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I did not have breakfast or eat in the restaurant, but the food in the bar was very good, although I thought it was expensive - but maybe not for the Isle of Man. The location was a long walk from the ferry terminal area, but well served by buses and the horse tram. It was also very close to the electric railway station.

As long as you book with the expectation that this is a relatively low cost hotel you won’t be disappointed. The staff were helpful, the room was basic but clean. It suited my requirements. I think the restaurant was a bit of a let down due to the high cost and lengthy wait for food - maybe I caught them at a bad time and there were no better options nearby. Not a great location if you want to walk to see/do things but there are transport options nearby.

Excellent hotel on Queens Promenade, friendly staff and very clean rooms. Breakfast a bit expensive at £14 full English or £10 Continental per day. Four floors with a very small lift with two metal gates rather than a door. My room on the third floor was very comfortable though the window was in a strange place behind the TV in the corner so there was little natural light i the room. Bus stops right outside the hotel and electric railway just a 5 minute walk away . I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again .

Great location. Right on the promenade and close to the electric tram station. Walk to the other end of the promenade bracing but level. Loved the island. You can see lots by public transport. Get a GO card. Such good value. Beds soft and been well slept in. Breakfast bit disappointing- very traditional. We had a bar meal the night we arrived. Again disappointed. Steak sandwich on plain white bread - ??? We found lots of other fantastic places to eat.

The Regency Hotel is a gem. It's a traditional, clean, well maintained hotel with friendly helpful staff and excellent facilities. We completely enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again. Our room was large, clean, quiet and well equipped and we were very comfortable. Every one of the staff we saw were friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast was generous, well served and well presented. Parking was on street but we never had a problem finding a space near the hotel and this was not an issue (our stay was in mid-June). The hotel is situated right on the promenade and close to many of the attractions. I would definitely recommend the Regency Hotel for your holiday.

I liked the old fashioned nature of the hotel. I had the impression that the charming lift hadn't changed since the 1920s. It was a change to have breakfast served by waiters from a menu instead of self service from a buffet but I like both kinds of service. The hotel is situated at the north end of the mile and half promenade so wasn't exactly convenient for the town centre but the bus transport was very regular which made up for it. I was able to catch a bus from opposite the hotel directly to the airport which was very convenient.
