Friendly staff, comfortable room and bed, tasty meal and great breakfast. Hotel located right wedge of private forested area resulting in it being very quiet and with beautiful surroundings. On site dining options were great for us as on bike and didn't feel like riding our for dinner.

great location in the woods and quiet surroundings - very good breakfast - we had one of the smaller bedrooms - it was to small - you can not walk around the bed you walk directly into the bathroom, there is hardly room for your suitcase or clothes- its under the roof, so if you want some fresh air - you open the window and and door to the room. But its fine if you spend your time exploring the surroundings for example on bike or hiking.

This properly is lovely situated within the beautiful forests of the ,Utrechtse Heuvelrug'. Also, the premises itself are romantically surrounded by old trees and green. The only slight minor point: the hotel has from the outside a typical seventies architectural design which somehow is not fully in line with the beauty of the nature. Breakfast is very, very, very good !

Beautifully comfortable!

Needed a place to stay before catching a flight out of Amsterdam, and this was the perfect place. Great comfortable location, beautiful surroundings and gardens and a delicious breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely hiking trails around the property and to the overlook tower. This is definitely a place I would stay again.

Overall quality of the hotel is matching the number of its stars. The service in restaurant is rather below average. Rooms are nice but there was mildew in the shower, beds are squeaking a lot, and room's door is not reducing sound from the hall at all. Small adjustment like putting a shoehorn into the rooms would be a useful improvement. Nevertheless, hotel's location and its surrounding are magnificent.

Wir hatten ein Dekuxe-Zimmer. Das Zimmer war geräumig, ja, aber es hatte ansonsten nichts Luxuriöses. Es lag im zweiten Stock mit Dachschräge, an deren Seite man nicht gut aus dem Bett kam. Zudem war das Zimmer sehr dunkel. Gut: eine große Badewanne. Die Durchvorrichtung war allerdinngs nicht in Korrespondenz zum (kleinen) Spritzschutz angebracht, d h. Duschen ohne Überschwemmung ist nicht möglich gewesen.

De ligging is ideaal. Vanuit het hotel ga je direct het bos in. Er is voldoende parking (gratis). Onze kamer was standaard; de badkamer is nogal onhandig. De ruimte is heel klein, de wc blijft niet droog wanneer je een douche neemt. Het bed is heel goed. Het ontbijt was jammer genoeg een afknapper. Men had gezegd dat tot 10 uur was. Om 9u20, toen we aankwamen, waren er al lege schotels. Geen ham, jonge kaas, koffiekoeken, yoghurt en fruit meer. Toen ik iets na 9u30 aan een medewerker vroeg of er niet werd aangevuld, zei die dat het ontbijt liep tot 9u30 en bijna zou afgeruimd worden. Dus werd het een boterham met jam en een croissant. Maar daarvoor hoef ik niet op hotel te gaan. Ik was hierover echt teleurgesteld. Het diner was lekker en verzorgd, er is voldoende keuze op de kaart. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Beste, Niet schoon, open douche en wc in de kamer, hoe dan! Veel vocht daardoor en warmte in de kamer. Je ruikt de urine uit de wc als je ligt te slapen. Geen privacy echt niet fijn en ontlasten durf je niet want daar heeft de ander veel last van gezien open wc in de kamer. Het zou netjes zijn dat er een compensatie wordt gegeven. Hier hebben we niet voor gekozen, zeer teleurstellend

Het hotel is prachtig gelegen, middenin de bossen. Op loopafstand (Helenaheuvel) zijn meerdere bewegwijzerde wandelingen te vinden. Hoewel het gebouw zelf wat gedateerd overkomt is het binnen goed onderhouden en netjes. De kamer had echt schoner gekund. De standaardkamer is aan de krappe kant. Voor het (overigens uitstekende) bed langslopen gaat alleen zijwaarts. En wat we vooraf niet goed gezien hadden (staat wel vermeld) is dat het 2 losse bedden zijn. Vinden wij zelf niet prettig. Eenvoudige maar prima douche. Ontbijtbuffet is soms heel ruim als het gaat om assortiment (veel soorten granola, e.d.) en soms wat beperkt (weinig soorten vleeswaren en kaas). In de avond/nacht wordt het terrein afgesloten met een slagboom. Die hoort automatisch open te gaan via kentekenherkenning, maar dat werkte al een tijdje niet. Ook de intercom aan de slagboom doet het niet. En in het donker is het briefje met vermelding van de storing en het telefoonnummer van de receptie niet leesbaar. Het was fijn geweest als ze dit bij inchecken hadden aangegeven.
