A very charming 1877 mansion. Very clean and well maintained. Within walking distance of Comerica Park, Ford Field, Fox Theater, The Fillmore and many restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

No air conditioning on this old house but they supply a nice fan and it was very comfortable. Room was clean, breakfast was good (community dining table, bagels, yogurt, fruit cup, cereal, that sort of thing)

Fascinating property, filled with antique charm. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The architecture of the building was wonderful, with many of the old details retained and cared for. Location was convenient to downtown events. We hope to return someday and see what else is added.

What an unexpected surprise. We were going to see Lionel Richie at Little Caesars arena and wanted to stay overnight to enjoy the evening. The hotel is a short walk to the arena. The rooms were large, clean and had everything we needed. Parking in the parking lot is also available for a fee. Definitely a great place to stay.

The property was built in the late 1800's and feels like you are stepping back in time. It is very nice and well maintained. As stated in the property description it is three stories and does not have an elevator. We stayed in room 33. The bed was comfortable. Things that would have made the room more accommodating - a second garbage can in the bed/sitting area - luggage rack - more countertop/horizontal area in bathroom at sink for toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, makeup, hair dryer, etc) had pedestal sink with small drawered decorative piece next to it - only had two sets of towels (no one on site after hours - maybe set-up closet with additional towels/linens) - shower had very small free standing shelf that was very small Simple items to fix. We would stay there in the future. It is very conveniently located.

Gated paid parking was reasonable for overnight stay and right outside of Inn— convenient to pay with barcode. Continental breakfast was nice with the items you expect like yogurt and bagels, coffee, etc., but also hard boiled eggs for added protein we didn't expect. They had trays available to carry to your room if desired. Coffee pods and tea in kitchen for any time to make yourself…and strong brewed coffee in the morning. Rooms are nice and walkable to the Fox and Comerica Park area and other places. We ordered a car which was there in less than 5 minutes to get to dinner at Leila since we were running late (25 minute walk). Easy 15 minute walk back (well travelled with others) from Detroit Opera House. No elevator so you do have to carry items up yourself.

The property is very neat. gardens are well kept. Parking is super convenient but not included. $28US which translated to $41CAN OUCH!! for the price of the room parking should be included. Staff was great. Our room was clean. There isn't a mini fridge in the room but you have full access to the kitchen on the main floor. The glass door in our shower rubbed on the tile which was unsafe and should be fixed. Our shower head worked but there was a slide bar but no handheld shower to use. The bathroom also doesn't have any hooks for your towels once you take them off the stand. Hooks need to be added. There also isn't a table of any kind to put our things to make drinks or put down snacks. A small table would be a great addition. Overall we enjoyed our stay and breakfast the next morning was great. We will come back if we happen to be in the area again.

The property was absolutely gorgeous an well maintained. The staff was kind and welcoming. Denise specifically was an absolute superstar! It’s walking distance from the major sports arenas. Anytime I find myself in Detroit I will ALWAYS check availability here first.
