The shuttle and staff.. great. Location. Good.. Safety? Alright.. room was USEABLE if in a bind.. it was clean enough, but definitely spooky vibes and the smell of smoke and chemicals in the room HORRIBLE, I had to wear a mask to make it work.

The hallway smelled like marijuana and cigarettes. The room had a very strong smell of some kind of cleaner. For breakfast, there were waffles and instant oatmeal but no hot water for the oatmeal that we could see. The rest wasn’t bad, the bed was fairly comfortable and it was nice there was a window to air out the room (if you’re comfortable keeping a window open on the ground level). The duck tape on the bathroom doorknobs isn’t a big deal to us, but it was an indication of the lack of upkeep. So if there is a hotel next door that is only $10 more with a full breakfast, no smell, bigger beds, and is just generally nicer, I would recommend spending the extra money.

Clean, spartan hotel. Friendly staff. Hotel could use a fresh coat of paint and some minor maintenance improvements, but the value price gave me what I paid for, and I was pleased with my overall wonderful experience. I look forward to many stays at Magnuson hotel in the future!

when we first walked in there was a very strong smell of bleach, cigarettes, and weed. the bathroom toilet was not flushing and didn’t work. the top of the toilet had hair and dust. the bathroom in general was very dirty. there was no screen on the window so we couldn’t open the window to air out the room. overall the hotel was very dirty but the customer service was amazing, they refunded my money immediately.

Bed was broke, floors were nasty but it was incredibly cheap so I feel like you get what you paid for. I feel this place could use an investor to come in and give it a make over. It’s in an incredibly convenient location to the airport.

Clean Room

I had a good experience at the Magnuson Hotel during my recent trip to Detroit, Michigan. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff, Ms.Jade, was incredibly welcoming and professional. Check-in was quick and hassle-free. The room and the bathroom were clean. I would recommend this hotel for a family stay.
