“Great family friendly resort”

“I absolutely adored the view that came with our bungalow. Additionally the breakfast and incredible and friendly staff made the trip so worth it. We barely had to do anything on our incredibly easy check in as the amazing staff sorted everything. Staff were incredible and checked in on my partner who was suffering a migraine on our first night. Staff such as Nocy, Luke, Winter, Rose and everyone really were just incredible with no fault. “The rooms were clean but needed a bit of updating there was only one channel on TV. The pool in the bar area were nice. The breakfast was adequate but you could pay to have extras like bacon and eggs if you chose to. you could catch the shuttle to the Edgewater hotel which is the sister hotel . The Local bus stops outside $35 for 10 trips around the island . Happy hour was twice a day .”

“The location is perfect if you want to save the money for the taxi(20-30NZD)and rent a motobike. But the rooms are very close to the bar and the music is TOO LOUDand NOISY, they have all day happy hour, and the party finishes around 11.30 pm everyday,so if you want to take a rest, this hotel is the worse place ever. As there are outside people come to the bar<because the alcohol is cheap>, I don't think it's save and nice for the guests.... Trasfer to and from the airport is complementary,...

“Quaint little resort, sea views were lovely, bar and restaurant right on the beach. Gorgeous quiet beach. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice palm trees and gardens. Sheltered pool area pleasant. Need a car to get into town or you could bike. Grocery store not too far away and a nice cafe just down the road. No in room wifi but available by hotspot at a cost. TV not working but being upgraded at the time of our stay. An older resort and some things probably due an upgrade soon. Overall a good stay”

“Take ear plugs! The Roosters never shut up! The facilities are basic, but clean and OK. Pool is OK as long as large groups don't take over. Nautilus staff we found dismissive, Muri staff more pleasant. BBQ area is nice but the hot plates are old and barely heat meaning without an over, self catering is challenging. Good proximity to beach and great use of snorkles / kayak / reef shoes etc.”

“The room was right next to the most beautiful beach with fantastic snorkelling. The swimming pool was lovely and there was a swim-up bar where you could order drinks. I liked that guests could use The Rarotongan facilities too such as the pool, beach, activities hut and restaurant. There was a great selection of food available to eat during breakfast. The bus stop was right opposite the resort which was handy. I would still recommend hiring a car to get places quickly. My bedroom needed a drying...

“Situated in a lovely well laid out property in the South Western area of the island. 11 km from the main town. Quiet and peaceful,except for the Roosters!! Breakfast is great with a good selection of cereals, fruits and juices, breads, for toasting, plus.tea or coffee. A pool on site and a nice beach across the road. Kayaks and snorkeling gear are available free of charge. I,as a non driver, rented an E Bike and used busses and the occasional taxi which worked OK. However a car or scooter would...

“When we arrived we thought we’d come to the wrong hotel. It was like rolling up to the entrance of an old western motel. A gritty, broken up driveway brought us to the main entrance which had a large plain pond with nothing in it - just an unloved body of water which must have, at one stage, had a welcoming water feature, I assume. “Staying with Jane and her staff at Cook’s Oasis was a treat. There were convenient food options on either side, a liquor store across the street, and a store in a short distance. Compared to many parts of the island, this is a really central place to be if you are or aren’t renting a car. I was on foot and it was ideal.
