The staff were very friendly. The position of the hotel is so near the centre of town. Very convenient and most of all the prices are affordable. It could do with a lift though. Thank you for the comfortable stay

Basically all that was needed was a suitable room for the night with the option of a value for money breakfast, if required. The room allocated was absolutely fine and in the end breakfast was taken... and very good it was too.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, they had a nice warm space heater and I had a good nights sleep because it was nice and quiet. Convenient location near to Derby train station. Staff were helpful and polite and I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is now overdue an upgrade, the furniture in the rooms is now very dated. Decor and carpets along the corridors need changing as been down at least 10yrs. We knew this hotel was never top of the range but always suited us for location. The buffet breakfast was adequate but very cheap ingredients. Cold buffet was almost nonexistent. We had to wait approximately 12/15mins for 2 fried eggs and we were the only people eating at the time. I asked if the eggs were on their way as I felt we’d waited long enough, the reply for waiting staff (Michael) was “they are in the pan”. Certainly not the correct response.. It’s now time to maybe stay elsewhere till they spend some money on this place. Shame as it used to be a good little hotel. Good point, Tesco being next door just so you can buy a flavoured yoghurt for breakfast as I did or anything else you may need.

Such a great stay! The hotel is small but has everything you need. The staff were super friendly… they even held my bags when I arrived early, which I really appreciated. My room was clean, bright, and comfortable. Sometimes less is more, and this place nailed it. Would absolutely stay again!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Myself and hubby just returned from a 1 night stay here.I really dont know where some negative reviews come from.We had a great time staying here.Check-in was fast,we got a quiet room as we requested,All staff were very friendly.The room pictures do not do it justice,we were expecting a very small room,but our room was spacious with everything you need,eg shower gel and shampoo,hair drier and iron and ironing board.With what we paid including breakfast.I really dont know what some people want from £45 pounds per person a night..We really enjoyed it and would stay again if travelling to Derby..
