This lodge is a hidden gem in the beauty of the Louisiana's countryside. The room was large enough that there was plenty of room to walk between the beds and the walls. For dinner we walked to the recently opened restaurant and were happy we did. My husband and I had the grilled shrimp. It was amazing. As golfers we wished that we would have had time to play 18 holes.

Comfortable by in slaw decline

Signed in by an apathetic teenager. Room was nice. Bed was very comfortable. Pool was filthy and unusable. On site restaurant was abandoned. No breakfast offered. Woken at 6am by slamming doors, banging and loud talking.

this room is filthy. It looks like there were strippers here an hour ago confetti beads and unpopped balloon and glitter and liquid stains on the floor. No one at the front desk after 8 pm Burned out lightbulbs This is my first and last time staying here

We knew, going in, that there would be no one at the desk between 8pm and 7am, but at the cost for a stay, there really should be. Also, no one was at the desk until about 7:30am. Also, don't stay in 103. There is a sound coming through the bedside wall every 10 minutes that's loud enough to keep you awake. Know that there is no free continental breakfast.

Positives: Comfortable and clean accommodations. Conveniently located near Poverty Point. Opportunities for improvement: Pre payment with Expedia did not show in hotel's records. Reservation paperwork and clerk said breakfast was included. This was not the case. TV screen very tiny and volume locked at very low level. And would be helpful to only display those channels subscribed to.

I am writing to express my concerns and disappointment regarding my recent stay. A weekend that was expected to be peaceful turned into a disaster due to the property's inability to accommodate handicap individuals, an unclean shower, and extremely low water pressure. The television was inoperable, and despite the efforts of the front desk staff, particularly the young lady who acknowledged the ongoing issue with low water pressure, no clear solution was provided. I was compelled to seek alternative accommodations for my 75-year-old disabled mother, driving over 40 minutes to do so. Unfortunately, my interactions with Manager Brandi were marked by rudeness, passive-aggressiveness, and disrespect. In contrast, staff members Bobbie and another young lady demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to meeting our needs. Despite daily complaints, Manager Brandi failed to contact us, and I was forced to leave multiple messages, finallyI called today only to receive a response with misleading information. I regret staying at this property, which misrepresents its amenities, including breakfast, on its website. I am extremely dissatisfied and want to caution others before booking.

Quiet and serene. Bistro next door was great. Food and service were both excellent. Staff at lodge was outstanding. Felt like family when we arrived. Wonderful accommodations that were relaxing and comfy. If ever in the area we will def stay again!
