Hotel Winneshiek is a beautiful hotel with immediate access to everything Decorah has to offer. The hotel has a beautiful old world charm with all the modern amenities needed, including a lounge, and breakfast in the morning. The best part is the rooms were beautiful and the beds were fantastic!

This is an old hotel, but well kept and has convenient free parking and right on the main shopping/dining street. We ate dinner at two lovely restaurants, just minutes away by foot. Also, the Norwegian Museum was well worth a visit and just a 5 minute walk. Nice bookstores, cookware stores and activewear stores nearby. We were tourists, and there’s plenty to do (walking trails and orchards at Seed Savers, a multitude of trails/parks, trout fishery) in the area for a long weekend.

i just cannot say enough good things about Hotel Winneshiek. Clean rooms with good layout and sf, helpful friendly staff and a nice bar area. to top it off they have a free breakfast, its not a full buffet but the fact that it is free and offered is a nice touch

Our room and bed were very comfortable. Rose and our other housekeeping lady (sorry that I didn't get her name )were very attentive. It's a lovely place and so nice to be in the center of the pretty downtown. We hope to make an autumn trip.

This is a beautiful hotel. We loved the character and charm of yesteryear. Walking around the building just to take it all in was amazing. The room was exceptionally clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We are definitely going back!
