“Room was very clean and well presented, with all expected facilities. Plenty of parking and welcoming staff. Breakfast provision was not clear when booking but was available to purchase each morning. The menu suggested that continental breakfast was included in the price of all cooked breakfasts but it was not evident. Breakfast was a good portion size and very tasty. “I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over.”

“The hotel was further from Lyndhurst than I expected and although that wasn't an issue, it was further than I anticipated. This for us was the only downside to the stay. The room was cosy and comfortable and somewhat quirky. We loved its uniqueness. The hotel restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed our dinner there on our overnight stay. We would definitely stay again as it was convenient for a stop over before embarking on a cruise the following day from Southampton.”

“The property was kept warm at all times and a good breakfast choice was offered. There was a good choice of evening meals. The only criticism was the noise of doors banging which caused the fabric of the building to shake. On a positive note the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The bedroom was always kept clean and the bed was comfortable. The car park was good and there were ample spaces. I would certainly visit again.”
