Great choice for budget friendly accommodatings. Breakfast is available. Store and eating places steps away. Ngor beach and boat service is maybe 10-15min walk. They will schedule you an airport pickup also if you are interested. There is also a money exchange(560) nearby that give better rate than airport(520)

We stayed here for 4 Nights before heading to tambacounda, and we had a okey stay! There are guard dogs at the place – so if you are scared of dogs HAHA good luck! The host was very helpful helping us planning trips and such, the included breakfast Was also a great addition too the place

I almost got bit by their dogs. Who keeps a pitbull at a hotel? Their kids were all over the place, shouting at night and in the morning. The room smelled really wierd. There was no food in the area. I didn’t complete my stay and I left to find another hotel to stay at. I will not stay at this place ever again.

Easy local Guest house for a good price.

I wanted to stay a Saturday Night in Dakar to Party a bit. So I booked Villa Malaka. The location is very good in my opinion, you can walk within 5-10 minutes to Ngor beach or when you need a Taxi you can just go 1 minute down the street until you reach the Main Street at Restaurant Katja. To get to Almedies the taxi needs just a few minutes. My room was clean and the Bathroom and shower was to share with other guests. The only think I didn’t liked, was that their was no Aircondition in my room. The breakfast was ok and the stuff very friendly. This guest house is definitely not to compare with a Hotel, but when you like it easy or not that classy, than Villa Malaka could be an option.

They advertised the wrong room for a cheaper price. When I got there, the lady immediately knew I was not going to like the room. She proposed me another room for the double of the price that I ended up taking. Of course I went on the top of the roof where they have added a bedroom in dorm setting with no ceiling. I was like 100 degrees F. I asked the lady if someone ever sleep there. She confessed that the current tenants just get in at night when it little cool in Dakar. Also in my new bedroom the AC wasn’t working properly. I paid her the balance in cash since Expedia already charged my credit card for the announced price.

I loved this property! The hostess named Amina went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Amina was willing to bring us to local shops and marche. She negotiated prices with the vendors so that we weren’t overcharged. She also made sure we had transportation arranged to and from the airport. The location of the property was perfect: less than a 10 mins walk to the beach where I was able to be with locals and buy fresh grilled fish from the morning catch; restaurants, bars, pharmacy, baby store, grocery stores, fresh fruit/veggie street vendors are all within less than 5 mins from the property; the property is in the Ngor region and very conveniently located for local buses, taxis, and Yango. The owner of the property was also welcoming and caring. The property itself had a beautiful suite with local decor, air conditioner and fan; 2 private balconies; mini fridge; tv; couch The property is located one street back from the Main Street, but you would never know because the property is so peaceful and full of vegetation; it feels like an oasis in the middle of the city. If you are looking for a big fancy hotel with all the amenities, then this is not the spot for you. This hotel is more family oriented, has traditional/local furniture, cuisine, and beautiful art pieces.
