“We were made very welcome by Wendy and Lawrence on our arrival. We sat outside in the sunny garden with a mug of tea and a caramel bar. We had the entire dining room to ourselves. There was a great selection of cereals available and the traditional breakfast was delicious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. ”

“We stayed Saturday night in the studio apartment, which is directly opposite the main hotel. The entrance hall is a little run down but the apartment itself is excellent! Really comfortable and clean with separate bed, living, dining and kitchen areas. It has everything you need for a night or two, right down to a jar of sweets and a yoga mat. “Arrived and were able to check in an hour earlier, we were shown to our room, and windows had been opened to allow the heat to escape. Amazing views. Room very clean and everything you need, water great selection of teas and coffees, and more importantly a fan. Great quirky pub to enjoy a drink and meal. Very friendly staff and other guests and locals very friendly. Great puppy cuddles with Angus a huge bonus. Would definitely stay again.”

“Staff - lovely / friendly Check in- quick, staff great Room - clean - a little odd layout (due to age of building) - like sloping ceiling - high window - but fine for a short stay. Breakfast - excellent and constantly being refreshed Great value for money - especially if pre-booked Spa - nice / clean -wasn’t busy when I used. Gym- limited equipment- but had sole use when I visited - so great, but may need to wait for equipment at busy times. Overall - can’t fault for the money ”
