This is the second time we have stayed. If you’re not looking for luxury but a nice, clean, convenient place to stay in the heart of Coronado this is your place. Walking distance to anywhere in town and just a ferry ride away to downtown SD. Doesn’t get any better than that.

Parking was not the best, two of the parking spaces were too close to the main street making it difficult to get out while the two in the back were generally too small. And if we didn’t find parking we would have to park on the side of the road and knowing San diego, rarely is there any good road side parking. And the coffee machine in our room was dirty. My bf and I didn’t not want to use it for that same reason that it looks like it was not cleaned properly at all. Overall, the stay was good. They had the A/C blasting when we entered the room which was a bonus since it was a hot day. Very cute motel to say the least.

I only saw the staff upon check-in. He was very nice and was able to check me in early. The room was nice and I liked the location. The bed was a little hard, so if you have back issues, this may not be the choice. Overall, I would recommend a stay at El Rancho.
