Charming historic hotel near all the Cork attractions. A local we spoke to described it as “the nicest hotel in Cork” and I have to agree. The front desk is very focused on ensuring guests have a wonderful stay. Definitely recommend if your travels bring you to this part of Ireland.

We stayed in the older part of the hotel. The floor was creaky and the armoire rattled loudly when you walked around the room. It was a clean, large room and the mattress was excellent. It was very quiet except for the last night when I was awakened by the sounds of a band and drumming. Popped my earplugs in and went back to sleep. One major issue was that we were unable to change the temperature or the heat/air conditioner setting in the room. We had to ask the front desk to change it 3 times. Our friends stayed in the newer section for more money and their room was much nicer. I think it would have been worth the cost.

The hotel was very nice. It was like a step back into time. The hotel room we had was massive. It had lots of windows and a huge closet. The grounds were very nice and well maintained. The view of the falls up the road was nice and the restaurant, which also had nice views, had good food. The only downside was the rooms don't have air conditioning, which is a bit expected. Would recommend this hotel.

Very well located amazing piano bar, have not tried the restaurant. Great staff. Poor room service if you want a night cap and you call room service, not too impressed. But will go back
