I love this hotel! It's got great character, spacious rooms, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a unique stay away from cookie-cutter hotel brands with lots of Danish charm, Kanalhuset is for you. :)

Convenient location for exploring Copenhagen, beautiful property, and very nice rooms/apartments. Breakfasts are ala carte and very reasonable and tasty. Great way to start the day with fresh coffee too. Excellent service and staff!

Exceedingly charming in a perfect location. We had a basement room with a little street noise in the day but plenty quiet at night. There were activities planned almost every day such as swimming in the canal for those that desired it. A perfect place to get a real feel for Copenhagen.

Stayed only one night but it was very pleasant. The sit down dinner with preset seating and menu was a very nice touch and gave us the chance to meet others who we’d otherwise never have met. Location was great - right on the canal, walking distance to food and drink and city centre. It was also surprisingly quiet, which was an added bonus. All in all, we would absolutely stay there again if we ever make our way back to Denmark.

We loved our 4 day stay at this quaint and quirky hotel. Danish charm surrounds you in the dining area, the bar, the common spaces and in the individually decorated rooms. The location was quiet, but close enough to restaurants and bars to still feel like you're in the city.

MAKE SURE they do not put you in a room where the windows are next to the street. The windows and walls feel paper thin and sleeping is impossible. The hotel is well located, the staff is great and the breakfast is also great. But their street adjacent rooms are terrible. If you keep this in mind you will enjoy your experience there.

Ended up here after a cancelled flight. Lilla got me checked in early, offered me a coffee and was just wonderfully kind. Exactly what you need when the day's gone completely wrong. The hotel itself is a gem. Amazing canal views, a very comfortable bed, and a great location near the metro but walkable to pretty much everything. It never seems to make the 'best of Copenhagen' lists, which it totally deserves to be in. Hope to be back, next time under calmer circumstances!
