We would stay here again

We have stayed here a few times when we come to town. The hotel is on a nice quiet street but still walking distance to Michigan Ave with a lot of excellent restaurants nearby. Nice to have a gated parking lot with in and out entry. Also love that the kitchen is now open at the hotel and the food is pretty good. The rooms are spacious and spotless and very comfortable for myself, my husband and our pup. Highly recommend and will continue to stay here whenever we visit Detroit!

It is an outstanding choice if you want to stay in downtown Detroit. Walking distance to landmarks and food. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean with a very nice exercise room.

We’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times. The staff is kind and helpful. They are SO welcoming. There was also a shuttle to a concert that we were going to that was very convenient. After checking into our room I noticed the room was not as clean or well maintained as other rooms we have had at Motorcity Hotel. Our carpet was just cleaned and was soaking wet. My allergies were also going insane because of the carpet cleaner. No glassware for wine, only plastic disposable cups. The hallways were also very dirty especially in the corners. It was pretty gross. We also had a $15 food credit so I went to get coffee the next morning and their system was down so I had to pay out of pocket. The employees at the coffee shop has zero clue about how to make an Americano and our coffees were just watery coffee for $6. It’s a shame. I don’t know if we will be back again.
