“Bit of a gamble as we’d never been before but was booked as a last minute weekend away without breaking the bank. Excellent communication post booking and a very warm welcome upon arrival from Julia on reception. Room was clean, bed extremely comfortable and a decent selection of emergency toiletries. Good parking. Relaxed breakfast with a variety of tasty choices. Would definitely stay again if in this area.”

“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. “Everyone”

I booked this at very short notice and they could not be more accommodating. Hotel was spotless, food excellent. The onsite restaurant was absolutely delicious- it’s a grill/steak restaurant- very high quality. Will definitely return.”

“Very good!”

“Everything about this property was perfect. Lovely clean room with modern power shower beautifully tiled. Lots of little extras such as luxury soap, shower gel, body lotion. Plenty of tea and coffee sachets and a small bottle of milk each day, not to mention the little chocolates and hot chocolate and biscuits. A small fridge with ice box in the room and of course a kettle. They just enjoyed adding those extra touches which make all the difference. The outdoor pool and sunbeds were perfect...
