“This was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna. Really good breakfasts served in bedrooms and at the nearby sister-hotel Milsoms. The fine dining at the main restaurant on the nearby River Stour was sublime,...

“The accommodation was spotless. Very comfortable bed, nice crisp bed linen. Loved the welcome pack. All staff went out of their way to be helpful. Loved the pool. Basic tasty food at the Muddy duck. So quiet and peaceful. A haven of nature, full of birdsong. Would definitely stay again. Very good value for money”
