This is a quite little place and owner operator is amazing. Rooms are always clean. Being directly on the gulf thats what we look for in this historical fishing community. After fishing on the gulf all day, you look for a clean bed, a cold/ hot shower to relax and that is exactly what we get every time.

Location was great. Hotel was in dire need of renovation. The room was supposed to be deluxe but was less than basic. I paid for a deluxe room. Hotels exterior was dirty and in need of a major refresh.

Balcony view was decent, but sadly Cedar Key was hit very hard by Helene in 2024 and has not recovered well. Many restaurants /bars boarded up and for sale. Staff was not there when I arrived at 2:45 so I had a 10 -15 minute wait . Nicest place in the area was Island Hotel, their restaurant and Neptune Bar.

parking was easy & the small refrigerator & microwave were handy. Restaurants within walking distance as well as the boat ramp. Staff very friendly however the condition of the room was very poor. Exposed electrical outlets, smoke detector not activated, bathroom window had no screen & didn't lock properly, inside door frame was missing which allowed roaches and ants into the room.

Yes, very safe and a wonderful lady manning the desk. There was a cat in the parking lot, so it is pet-friendly- even if you don't bring one, there is one for you to play with.

We love the location of the property, and the history. After the hurricane, a lot has been upgraded on the property, including the ground level rooms. That being said, the 2nd floor (where we were) needs a lot of upgrades...floors, paint, fixtures. That being said, the room was clean , new bedding and great historic area...and the price reflected it. Lovely, low key area . Would we stay again, yes....try to get a room downstairs ...if you can. Some simply things would really help...paint on damaged doors from a pet stay, Throw rugs on damaged floor, fire alarm replaced....ect.

This is an older property. It is a clean basic room, reasonably priced. There is a terrific little restaraunt right next door. The woman who owns the motel is accomodating and works very hard to keep it clean and maintained. The 2nd Street Cafe is next door and is terrific.

If you need a swimming pool, business center, or exciting nightlife this isn't for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a restful and pleasant experience in a wonderful environment I don't think you could do better! I will certainly return.

The hotel is in a great location and we walked everywhere. The hotel is older, the room was older but ok for one night. It didnt exactly meet our expectations from the photos. In the morning we did see a small "bug". Overall, our stay was good. Great little island town.The staff is very nice and we met alot of friendly people during our stay. The wrap around porch is nice to sit out on at night.
