Amazing property! Located right on the Mekong River with a river view, the location could not be beat! It was obvious the hotel was barely booked (low season) and we asked for an upgrade, room with a river view. Ours looked out on another cottage and they said yes for an extra charge. They could have easily given us another room as they were so under booked and it would have been a nice gesture. Anyway we said no thank you as it was only one night. The breakfast was by Thai standards typical with a grand assortment of choices including an omelette station and great Thai coffee. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Chiang Khong.

Ok für 1 Nacht

Wir übernachteten für eine Nacht als Zwischenstation von Chiang Rai nach Laos, bevor wir am nächsten Tag das Boot für die 2-tägige Mekongflussfahrt bestiegen. Gesamthaft ist das Hotel ganz ok, man darf für den Preis auch nicht zu viel erwarten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer auch sauber, aber leider hatte es Bettwanzen oder Flöhe und mein Arm war am Morgen ziemlich verstochen. Als Alternative könnte man morgens auch aus Chiang Rai mit dem Auto anfahren, ca 2 Stunden und übernachtet in Chiang Rai, da ist die Hotelauswahl wesentlich grösser und besser.

Hot tub on the Mekong

Beautiful hotel that feels like a resort. We had a lovely room overlooking the river and pool with a small hot tub on the balcony. Dinner was a disaster. Expensive, very poor service, mediocre food. BUT the breakfast buffet was exceptional. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Riverside hotel

A good full service hotel right above the Mekong River. All of the staff from the manager on down were helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet had many good choices of Thai and Western foods.

Beautiful hotel on river front

Excellent views of the river. Fabulous evening entertainment. Room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Shower and bathroom was spotless and had hot water!!! Our only thought is whether mosquito nets could please be provided.

Amazing view and very good facilities

The rooms are pretty Ibis-standard but it was totally worth booking the river-view room as you can see the sunrise just in front of you across the Mekong. The hotel is perfect for staying the one night before crossing to Laos or vice versa, though. They also have a great pool and an amazing terrace restaurant and the personnel was very helpful arranging our transfer to the border.

Nice hotel in a good location.

We used this hotel as a one night stop over before crossing the border into Laos. It was in a great location with the bars and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself has a lovely infinity pool looking over the river, a bar with a pool table, a restaurant and pretty gardens. The room was ok for one night and the bathroom was pretty basic. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good for a stopover

We were in Chiang Khong for less than 12 hours while waiting to cross the border, but we wish we could've stayed longer. Our bungalow room could use a refurbishing as it seemed a bit worn down, but the rest of the hotel was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant food was good (although the beer is way overpriced), and the pool and view are beautiful. The hotel is a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the border crossing, but there are a couple of bars/restaurants nearby as well, so seemed like a fine area.

Väldigt fint!

Väldigt fint hotell precis vid Mekongfloden. Vi var på genomresa så var där bara en natt. Dock Alla hjärtans dag. Fanns en meny på hotellet som vi valde. Man var snälla och tog fram skaldjursfri mat till mannen. Men middagen var ingen höjdare. Räkcocktailen hade 2 räkor i sig & köttet var rent för sönderstekt. Begärde mitt medium och mannen medium/raw. Mitt var välstekt, nästan mer än det & mannens var typ medium/welldone. Trevlig personal som senare kom till rummet och bad om ursäkt pga hög belastning... Hotellet är riktigt fint med bra frukost :)

Lovely location

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Booking was made with Ibis but we found we were in property next door - Teak Gardens - where I had stayed in the past and actually liked better than a tall, new hotel like the new Ibis.

Typische IBIS Qualität in Toplage am Fluss

wohl das beste Hotel in Chiang Khong, sehr freundliches Personal und Manager, sowie an der Rezeption Khun Beer. ein tolles Feature im Hauptgebäude sind die kreisrunden Wannen auf dem Balkon, die mit heissem Wasser befüllt werden können ( sehr angenehm spätabends bei 18 Grad Celsius Lufttemp.), das Hauptgebäude selbst ist etwas hellhörig, habe das Aufwachen der Zimmernachbarn um 06.00 morgens deutlich mitbekommen, dann Ohrenstöpsel rein und weitergeschlafen, die Betten sind sehr gut, der Pool ebenso, wie auch das Frühstück.

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Good value.

Good value hotel in great position on the river. The room was clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need. The bed was soft and not your typical hard Asian bed. The buffet breakfast was good with fair range and good quality. An omelette chef was available. Had free bikes for the trip in to town but not really required as it's only a short walk and very little to see really. Also had a nice pool.

Godt til et par dages afslapning

Vi boede her 2 nætter på vej til Laos. Vores bungalow var i den gamle del af hotellet, men den lå fredeligt og vi havde balkon lige ud til floden. Man kan gå tur langs floden eller bare sidde og se floden drive forbi. Dejlig infinity pool. OK restaurant.
