“Great hotel”

“King room in the modern accommodation block was small but fine, a good find. Dinner was great pub grub. We hadn’t realised that breakfast is not available (Sun-Fri) but that was also fine.”

“Bit tired but staff were brilliant”

“Very comfortable twin beds with ensuite shower, toilet and sink. Excellent location for town centre. No food served in pub but instead we were directed to sister pub Mason's Arms and had an excellent meal. Breakfast served at 8am. We considered our stay to be comfortable and pleasant, value for money. Would book again.”

“Clean rooms, wifi worked well, and nice that they have air con.”

“Clean spacious room, very comfortable bed”

“Standards have really dropped. I have stayed here multiple times over the past few years and”

“Very dated rooms & uncomfortable beds no air conditioning or fan. Breakfast only available 8.30 -9 am even though the information card in the room states 8.30-9.30, was told this is only at weekends? So why doesn’t information card state this? “Lovely pub with rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was cosy and quiet. We had breakfast and dinner, both of which were excellent. Parking was no problem and the pub provided a good base for exploring Cambridge and the Fens.”

“A very enjoyable 2 night stay. Pleasant locaton, very helpful and polite staff and very enjoyable food. Only comment is that the roomwas really too small to have a king sized bed. Recomended.”

“Cory, the manager of The Fox, is a lovely host. Super hard working, he is around to serve breakfast and still managing the bar late at night. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and warm. Parking is immediately outside the rooms and easily accessed. Bury St Edmund’s is a lovely town with excellent shopping and coffee shops. Strongly recommend staying at The Fox for visiting Bury St Edmunds.”

“Clean and comfortable with very good food and a warm welcome from the owner. Plenty of on site parking.”

“Room was great and breakfasts were very good. I’d stay there again”
