The hotel is a big complex with multiple buildings. The surrounding landscape is beautifully designed and maintained. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious. But it’s in the Tianfu airport which is far from the city. However the hotel does offer an airport shuttle and the airport has a subway stop into Chengdu proper.

The hotel itself was great. The property was beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was excellent. Unfortunately, my check-in experience was incredibly disappointing. I booked through Expedia, but when I arrived around 11:00 p.m., the front desk could not find my reservation. After a long wait, they asked me to leave a deposit while they sorted it out. I had been traveling all day and was exhausted, so I agreed. Shortly after getting to my room and into the shower, someone repeatedly knocked on my door and rang the doorbell. I had to get out of the shower to see who it was. It was around midnight, and as a woman traveling alone, I was understandably hesitant to open the door. After confirming he was a hotel employee, I opened it. He immediately blocked the door with his arm and later his foot while using a translation app to tell me there was an issue with my reservation and that I needed to return to the front desk. This is a very large property, and I had already provided my reservation confirmation during check-in. He asked for it again, and despite providing it, the interaction continued for about 20 minutes. In the end, they simply told me everything was fine. I still don't know whether they found my reservation or realized they had made a mistake. Regardless, the experience was unsettling and made me feel unsafe. It's unfortunate because the hotel itself was wonderful, but this experience overshadowed what otherwise would have been a great stay.

If you need a place to stay close to the airport, this is enough. The hotel was a little different than I expected. It was a “hotel complex” - it felt more like a residential area as it had many buildings and the entire area is part of the hotel. It’s simply personal preference and this wasn’t it for me. Otherwise, it’s adequate for early flights from Tianfu International Airport.
