“We received a very warm welcome from hosts Jackie and Rob and our stay was absolutely exceptional! Our room was clean, neat, well appointed, with a refreshments tray including lovely homemade cake and the folder containing menus and directions for the nearby pubs for meals was well thought out and presented. “It was homely. The couple were hospitable & took care of their guests & provided a nice breakfast included in price. Had a well cared for appearance.”

“Lovely old pub off the main road. Staff are helpful, they serve a good pint and the breakfast was first rate. Negative points - the mattress on the king-size bed is too soft and no brewed coffee in the morning. I would stay there again.”

“Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery! The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden.”
