The rooms smelled clean and were decently cleaned. The property is outdated and there is a strong musty smell when you enter the property throughout the building. The floors both in and out of the rooms look like they haven’t been swept in a while. The staff were very friendly.

A great location if you’re visiting Monticello or the James Madison estate and a decent value, though some parts of the building appear a bit tired. A very friendly, helpful and wanting to please front desk staff.

I was pleasantly surprised. I honestly hadn't paid any attention to it being an actual hotel bc of the odd location, but I just needed a mini overnight getaway and this was perfect. Super close to home, clean and inexpensive. I'd stay again. Note that the air conditioning unit is super loud!

Good price, comfy beds, quiet and updated rooms, right near Monticello and downtown, yummy breakfast (real eggs and crispy bacon). The night manager even let us change rooms because our room was stuffy from the air conditioner turned off. She (Gloria) even came up to check on our new room. Where else does someone go out of their way to satisfy? I would stay here again and go again to Thai Cuisine and Noodles (best thai food anywhere).
