Loved the staff and the shuttle driver Miss V from airport ..Arrive with fresh warm chocolate chip cookie ..loved room, provided bottles of water ,bed very comfortable and pillows..great location to walk and get food .. Room was clean, but you could smell weed in the hallways and outside in multiple places. Unfortunately that just seems to be the norm anywhere you go now. Room had been renovated but it was musky and warm despite the AC being on 68 when we got in there. Staff super friendly and nice though. Shower pressure was amazing!

I’m really glad I chose the DoubleTree by Hilton Charlotte Airport because I had a great experience from start to finish. The room was exceptionally clean, and it’s clear that a lot of effort goes into maintaining the property, especially considering it’s an older hotel. Sherman, who greeted us when we arrived, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout check-in. His warm personality and professionalism made us feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

The biggest disappointment of our stay was the buffet breakfast. On the first morning, I was shocked to find mouldy bread—a basic food safety issue that should easily be avoided. When I brought this to the staff's attention, their response lacked urgency and genuine hospitality. They didn't offer a complimentary dish or item. General the hot food selection was also incredibly limited and quickly became repetitive after two days. Furthermore, there were no pork alternatives available, such as turkey bacon or chicken sausages. Combined with poor coffee and lacklustre customer service, the breakfast experience fell far short of acceptable standards. Reception was good, staff were friendly and helpful. They made me feel welcomed and made an initial good impression. The hotel is dated and in need of a refurbishment and modernisation, but overall it was clean and tidy. The beds are comfortable which is important when staying at a hotel.

The room we got 129 was moldy and smelled. We were ther for only a few hours, that room seemed like it was not in use for awhile. The sheets were old and worned out. I assume the standard was higher but no the food was edible but not good. The shuttle service was great, best part of the stay.
